I was lucky enough to have the spa extreme ritual day, this was the best massage and facial I have ever had. The young lady who have me this experience was fantastic. The pool, and other amenities were great, the salt room especially. My Spar package also included a light lunch which I had a beautiful Yorkshire ham salad, and would highly recommend. You can even stay in your bathrobe to go and have lunch in the conservatory. I will definitely be returning.

My experience was wonderful, I had a very relaxed and stress relieving massage and facial followed by a delicious lunch. I was able to lounge around and use the spa facilities afterwards. Would definitely recommend!

I had a wonderful solo spa day! The spa reception was very welcoming and offered lots of information the treatment relax and renew was amazing! Floated out! Loved the variety of rooms in the health spa and the jacuzzi was large too. Warm scones served with the cream tea yum! I would just encourage a little modernisation around the pool area it was looking a little tired. All in all a wonderful day thank you so much. I will definitely be coming back!

Treatments were first class. Spa facilities good. Would prefer not to have to walk to the hotel for lunch, it would be much better provided in the lounge of the spa

Fabulous Spa day. My friend and myself came on the January Spa day. All staff extremely helpful especially the lady on reception (sorry i don't know her name) I left my key in the treatment room for my locker and she sorted it for me. We had a neck, scalp and shoulder massage and it was the best I've had. It's been at least 5 years since I've been to the Spa and i thoroughly enjoyed it. It won't be another 5 years till I come back again. Perfect in every way

Had a great time here with a group of friends, lovely pedicure and spa facilities.

I gave my friend a voucher Spa package for her Birthday. We enjoyed the pool experience very much. The treatments were excellent, my friend had a shoulder and arm massage which she felt was very beneficial and I had a pedicure from Katie who was so nice and did my nails perfectly. Great afternoon thank you!

This is one of my favourite places to go in York to relax and unwind. Lovely place in fantastic grounds and very attentive staff. Highly recommended.

A gift for my daughter, and her fiancée. They both enjoyed there day but came back starving as no food could be purchased. But both really enjoyed their experience in the spa and hot stone therapy

Very relaxing and therapeutic massage, thank you. The only downside was the chatter of loud voices at Spa Reception which was a distraction.

Really nice foot pedicure only thing is she cut my wick on my big toe which is really sore now, as she pulled the half cut nail up perhaps thinking it would come away, but instead pulled down the side

Great Massage. Pool and spa rooms good. Could do with machine to wring swimsuits. Didn't appreciate that we had to pay for robes, towels and slippers though. Most spas provide free.

I visited the spa on Thursday 13th Bovember after a very stressful & busy day I intended arriving early for a good swim & relax before my treatment, however I arrived 1/2 hour before my treatment no time to swim so just sat & relaxed on the comfy sofa’s until my treatment. As always my Deep Body Massage was fabulous as always by Katy x I left leaving relaxed de-stressed & the stresses of the day disappeared x

Relaxing pedicure with great results.

Couldn’t rate this enough, from the moment we arrived staff were very attentive and helpful. We were shown to the spa where we were given our robe and towel. Facilities for changing were spacious and very clean. We stopped for lunch which was back in the hotel and again very attentive and food lovely. From travelling a long way and booking this online it was a great find and me and my friend enjoyed our day. A great place with great staff.

Amazing! This was our first visit to the spa and it was brilliant.

We enjoyed some time in the pool and facilities, but found it a bit too hot to fully relax, instead taking advantage of the September sunshine in the beer garden of the Fat Abbot! HOWEVER, we returned later for our scheduled treatments and were both given excellent care and attention. I enjoyed a Relax and Renew massage/facial with Lucy, and my OH had a Full Body Deep Tissue massage, which he reported as being thorough and beneficial. Staff at the Cloisters Spa were friendly, approachable and helpful. Hopefully we may return in the future, and definitely recommend a visit. Thank you.

Wonderful venue. Relaxed atmosphere. There was a balance of male and female attendees on the day which made me - as a male who had never been fo a spa before - feel much less self conscious (even though I attended with 3 friends; 2 female; 1 male).

The spa was lovely the treatment was very enjoyable and afternoon tea was fantastic, but the attitude of some staff wasn't great. We wasn't told what time to actually arrive
