My appointment was absolutely amazing. Sophie was very nice and talked through my ideas and helped me figure out what was going to be best for my hair. I absolutely love the final result and will definitely be returning. I also got some free sweets and drinks which was very nice :)

The actual best colourists in the UK. Fabulous amazing people with amazing work. I have travelled across the country to go here and it was worth every minute of travel. I would highly recommend to anyone who wants a fun environment and an amazing artistic vision that can bring the best out of every hair that comes through their door.

This was my first experience of Riff Raff and meeting Rhys, I absolutely loved it! Rhys was really friendly, knowledgeable about the kind punky/ alternative style I have + ones I would like to have or work towards. He checked everything with me, and talked through what he was doing and why, which I appreciated as well. I left the salon with a punky style I'm really pleased with, as well as feeling inspired for future styles as well as colours. Having such a vegan friendly, cruelty free, LGBTQ+ friendly, and kind space in Newport is amazing. Already looking forward to heading back 😊

Took my 15 year old son to get his haircut today. He’s neurodivergent and has struggled to find somewhere to get his haircut since growing it longer a few years back. Rhys was brilliant with him - listened to what he wanted, made some great suggestions, showed an interest in him and his interests and gave him a great cut. My son is very hard to please, but left with a smile on his face today.

I’ve finally found a hairdressers I want to come back to. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, the tea and sweets provided were amazing and the salon had such a cosy and safe atmosphere. 100% recommend. Went in for a wolf cut and came out with one even better than the refernce photo, I couldn’t believe it was actually my hair! Thanks again 😚

Fabulous cut and colour with Rhys today! Love the new salon which he and Sophie have created...so inclusive for everyone, especially those of us who are neurodivergent and/or LGBTQIA+ / gender expansive. Just a lovely, beautiful place to be, run by two fantastic stylists & colourised!

Took my daughter to Rhys for a wolf cut and colour. The whole experience from start to finish was 10/10 The salon vibe, aesthetic and playlists are just perfect with pick and mix, cold drinks and coffee. Rhys is a genius and understands exactly what the client wants. Recommend him and Sophie to anyone - you wont regret the decision!!
