This salon is the best in south west VA I feel. I'm a Vabeach native and moved up here to Salem seven yrs ago and haven't found anyone else like these ladies. They are terrrific. They know how to taper fade and hard part for us guys along with actually knowing how to cut our hair on point. I give them not five stars but more like 10. Thank you Shear Madness!

I went early and a little girl named Olivia was there, she was so nice! Pam Helms did a great job with my hair! Meanwhile Olivia was Pam's pretend assistant, she drew me a nice picture! Pam is awesome and the entire staff are extremely nice and cooperative. I saw Michelle Whitemer and Bree Thomas, it was like a party, so happy to see me! This is a magnificent place to go to, I strongly recommend Shear Madness hair Salon to all. The place is very clean and clients are also nice! I met a lady she took her time to speak to me. There will be new pictures, please go and check them! Thank you Pam!

First time going, great experience! I went yesterday and got a cut somewhere else and did not get anything close to what I wanted. Michelle was upfront and told me I didn't have enough hair to pull the style off but gave me a similar cut that fit with my really fine hair- I rather a stylist be honest and tell me no and why a style won't work than to either attempt it or do it and have a bad style for my hair type that makes me want to hide. I have definitely found my new salon to go to!

Stephanie was absolutely amazing. My daughter had her first salon hair cut ever and it was wonderful. She was kind and thorough and made my 5 year old feel completely comfortable. The salon itself is so nice and inviting. We will definitely be back to Shear Madness!

The salon was clean and bright. The staff was friendly and Heather did a great job on my hair!

I got an AWFUL cut at another hair salon about 2 weeks ago and booked this almost same day. I walked in praying they could fix it. Heather worked a miracle and i walked out happy! Definitely will be going back for more and HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
