A sports massage is a deep soft tissue massage performed by professional therapist. A Sports massage targets the deep soft tissues structures of the human body to help relieve muscle tightness, adhesion and tension. A sports massage can help decrease pain and discomfort, improve range in joints, improve flexibility and boost circulations. An sports massage can be used for pre and post sporting events as well as reducing tension and/or pain in every- day life. Sports massage is especially good and recommended for mild to severe lower back pain, tension headaches and general tightness and discomfort in muscles and soft tissue Structures.

Sports massage may include other soft tissue techniques: myofascial cupping, muscle scraping and dry needling. This will be discussed at your appointment. 

Sports Massage

 The therapist will analysis the injury by performing different tests. These tests may include range of motion and muscles tests. The assessment will also include special tests which were developed to diagnose specific injuries. During this appointment 30mins of treatment will be included. It is likely that at least 2 session will be advised to evaluate improvement of the injury.

First Injury Assessment

An injury Follow-up is used re-evaluate the injury. This will include retests of injury and treatment. Usually 45mins of treatment will be received. The treatment will include different types of treatments to help with the injury.
