A weight consultation to assess your pet's body condition and how we can alter this if needed. Your pet's energy requirements will be worked out and how this translates to the food you're currently feeding, and this will be sent via email, including any additional recommendations and notes.

Please note: if your pet has not been seen by a veterinarian for over a year, I highly recommend they be seen prior to putting them on a diet or booking a consultation with me. This is to ensure the safety of your pet and rule out any potential issues. 

Weight loss for pets needs to be precise and done in a slow, methodical matter to prevent serious health issues, particularly with cats. 

I can only check weights of pets under 25kg. Typically small and small/medium sized pets. All others will need to be weighed free-of-charge at a veterinary clinic.

Follow-Up Weight Check

Sometimes you know your pet is getting older, but don't know what to look out for or when the right time is. Perhaps you know that it's their time, but need some support to help put your mind at ease. Our consultation can help with these scenarios by evaluating your pet in their current condition, education around behaviour and physiological changes that occur as their body ages or declines. Our consultation will also help provide answers on what to look out for, what to expect when the time comes and general support in a difficult time. Handouts can be given to help with determining your pets' condition on a daily/weekly basis.

Euthanasia Support Consultation

To assess the mouth and teeth for any abnormalities and advise if a dental treatment or vet visit may be needed. 
Education (demonstration if required) on how to take care of our pet's teeth and products that may be useful.

Application of prescribed eye medication and instructions on how to give this if required.

Aural (Ear) Medication Application

Subcutaneous fluid therapy as prescribed by your veterinarian.

Particularly important for pets with illnesses such as kidney disease and thyroid dysfunction and is usually used during palliative care.

Short brush through to help remove excess fur and undercoat. Very small, loose knots can be removed with mat-breaker.
