One of the world’s oldest healing systems was born, known as the Ayurvedic system of healing. This gave birth to the Indian head massage, which at this point was designed to stimulate the scalp’s pressure points. Over a thousand years later, this is still widely practiced across the world and has evolved to include other hotspots in the upper body so our entire being can benefit. This head  massage  applies pressure to points in the upper back, arms and shoulders in the muscles and iron out any knots, before moving on to the neck and head to release tension that can spur on headaches. You’ll be left feeling like a weight has been lifted off your shoulders – quite literally.

Indian Head Massage

By applying healing energy to specific areas on your feet - known as reflexes - reflexology sends signals through the body which, in turn, release positive chemicals, like endorphins. The result? Reduced stress and pain. The treatment is also said to decrease toxins and increase blood supply, easing tension and inflammation.

And with thousands of nerves in each foot alone, it’s a real skill to know exactly where to touch! Therapists use reflexology maps, which enable them to see which specific part of the foot relates to different areas of the body’s nervous system. Take your toes for example, that correspond directly to your head. Or your lower back and intestines, and their link to your heel. That’s why the goal is to relax not just your feet, but your entire body from tip to toe.

Here at natural-light we use reflexology wax to help glide over the feet, you will find this treatment very relaxing and may even fall asleep.

Hot stone massage begins with placing warm, oiled stones on multiple acupressure points around your body, perhaps even tiny ones between your toes. You may drift off into a dreamy state and lose track of where the hot stones are arranged.

Hot stone massage employs a variety of long strokes and techniques using the stones and hands, working over kinks in your muscles. You are unlikely to feel the intensity, since your muscles will be relaxed by the heat of the stones. Hot stones can help with the following :

Hot Stone Massage

This is a relaxing  massage using a combination of eastern and western massage techniques .    
This  massage is a holistic treatment that can help to relieve tension and reduce many symptoms associated with stress and anxiety. The result is the perfect balance of mind and body.
Essential oils are powerful extracts obtained from flowers, herbs, spices, grasses, resins and bark and are capable of being absorbed through the skin for therapeutic effect. Here at natural light our in house Aromatherapist will hand mix the oils specifically for you  Each client’s treatment will therefore be unique. 
If you would like a full body massage you would need to book a 60 75 or 90 min session  which would include head, face and feet .

Aromatherapy Massage 

There are five types of stroke that make up the traditional Swedish massage technique. . The therapist will use their hands, forearms or elbows to rub your muscles in long gliding movements pushing blood in the direction of your heart. Here at natural-light we use a blended  essential  oil  to help with movement. There’s also kneading and tapping and your limbs may be bent and stretched a little bit. This Massage is brilliant at combating stress and relaxes the body. It’s not just about getting rid of those knots or for super sporty people. Your circulation and lymph system are boosted and long term this massage  can help with chronic pain.

Swedish massage 

This massage will leave you deeply relaxed , here at natural-light we use a range of techniques the massage itself is very slow and flowing with only the flat of hand or forearm used . This is a full Body massage and uses hand blended oils to aid your deep relaxation.
