Remedial Massage is a therapeutic form of massage that focuses on treating the root causes of physical pain, tension and injury.  The aim is to assess and treat specific muscle problems, injuries, and postural imbalances. 

What does this treatment consist of? 
Treating the muscles, fascia (connective tissue) and tendons through deep tissue massage techniques and sport massage techniques, trigger point therapy and myofascial release, sometimes i may use dry needling and cupping to further assist with the release of tension. This particular type of treatment is designed to alleviate specific pain, muscular aches, and increase range of movement to prevent injury. 

please note this not the type of treatment you want to book if your aim is to just "relax" .. although i want you to relax a little, this is more therapeutic and assessment based.


Remedial Massage 

Remedial Massage Therapy

Deep Tissue massage focuses on releasing built up tension in the deep fibres of the muscle and connective tissue. 

What does this treatment consist of?
This treatment focuses more on applying consistent pressure on the bigger muscle groups like Back, Hips, Legs, Chest, promoting blood flow, more movement and flexibility. 


*please note that although i mention "deep pressure" i will always tailor it to you and yes you can expect some soreness, especially if you have had that tension/muscle tightness for a while but massage treatments in general should never leave you worse than when you came in. For a more specialised and targeted treatment I suggest a remedial massage. 

Deep Tissue Massage 

Treat yourself with this head to toe nurturing and gentle massage aimed at relieving daily stress and aches throughout the body. You will feel relaxed and rejuvenated.

What does this consist of? 
Relax and Rejuvenate, this treatment is for those stress free moments we all need and the body craves. its much more gentle on the muscle tissues and i do not do any remedial or deep tissue techniques for this treatment. I use a lot of essential oils and natural balms and oils so if you have a favourite scent let me know. 

this treatment is very special in that i will tailor it to your liking to get your mind and body to let go, e.g. like rain sounds and very dim lights, or like upbeat jazz and hot stones well that can also be arranged.

Pregnancy Massage is a favourite of mine, i love being able to create a safe and nurturing space for you and your growing little one, there are two type of massage i perform:

Pregnancy Remedial -  this is more of a targeted treatment and I'll work on all the areas of tension and tightness using a more specific technique to bring relief to you. 

Pregnancy Relaxation - this is more of a general all over treatment and its more soothing and as the name states relaxing. 

Please note that only pregnancy remedial is claimable on most health fund rebates.
