Reflexology is a focused pressure technique usually directed at the feet. It is based on the premise that there are reflexes and zones on various parts of the body which correspond to and relative to all parts, glands and organs of the body. Reflexology works by when the reflexes are stimulated, the body’s natural electrical energy works along the nervous system to clear any blockages in the corresponding zones. A typical session might help break up deposits which are felt like a gritty or a sandy area beneath the skin and could potentially interfere with the body’s electrical energy in the nervous system. By manipulating specific reflexes, stress could be decreased, which will activate your body’s parasympathetic response by enabling blockages to be released by physiological change to the body. With stress relieved and circulation enhanced, the body returns to a normal state (homeostasis).

Amygdala Release Therapy or The Black Pearl Technique is a stress reduction method that calms the nervous system, sending the over-activated Amygdala into a state of calm and relaxation. The Amygdala is a processing centre for emotions and is part of the Limbic system that controls emotions, memories, mood, and arousal.

The Black Pearl Technique uses massage-like, hold,  and specific pressure points on the head to gently soothe and reset the nervous system, calm the body, and shift emotional patterns.
