He Pukenga Wai, He Pukenga Tangata is a program designed and delivered by rangatahi for rangatahi. By/ For: We are a group of taiohi that are world champion Waka Ama paddlers. We wanna help more rangatahi do something that helps with taha tinana/ wairua/ hinengaro and whānau. In/ OnThe program is based on the local body of water relevant to the target group. With/ through: Waka ama is encapsulated by tikanga Māori. As we are all kura kaupapa students and have been raised in waka tikanga. We aim to help 300 rangatahi across Te Hiku experience waka ama for the first time.
