What is Tantra?

Most often Tantra is misunderstood in the western part of the world. Coming from the ancient practices of Hindu Buddhism, Tantra actually has very little to do with sex. Tantra is really about seeking the spiritual enlightenment through consciousness. You can do this with or without a partner. In practice, the goal is to transcend both physical and spiritual planes by deeply incorporating meditation, spontaneity, and intimacy. Meaning with deep intent to connect with ones self and with their partner. Giving of your whole self, mind, body, and soul. Tantra, an ancient Sanskrit word, means to weave energy or to have a “web of energy”. When practicing Tantra you become more in-tune with your body and is all about spiritual and physical awareness
