Remedial massage is a corrective treatment which is specific to clients presenting issues or concerns. Useful when recovering from moderate injury, experiencing pain and/or dysfunction in an area, joint or muscle. A range of techniques are applied to treat the muscles and connective tissue to aid recovery, releasing acute or chronic patterns of tension. The area of injury or pain will be identified and if required traced to origin, the focus of this treatment will be on the affected and surrounding area only. Some discomfort is normal during this treatment and a moderate tolerance for pain may be required.

Deep tissue massage is used to treat chronic tension and pain, targeting the deep layers of muscles and tissues. The techniques used apply concentrated pressure to break down adhesions and knots resolving restrictions and releasing chronic patterns of tension. Some discomfort is normal during this treatment and a moderate tolerance for pain may be required. Deep tissue massage begins with a large area focus, full body or back, then will target a specific region or muscle if/as required.

A beneficial treatment for people participating in regular physical activity, aiming to promote optimal functioning and prevent injury. A range of techniques are applied to address any dysfunction or imbalance in the muscles and tissues caused by any repetitive and/or strenuous physical activity or trauma. Therapist will adapt the application of techniques to suit clients specific needs. Full body or area focused as required. Some people may experience some tenderness and/or discomfort following treatment. This is completely normal and should not last beyond 24-48hrs.

Treatment will be adapted to young persons needs. Massage can be beneficial in reducing feelings of stress and anxiety, relieving tension caused by modern day living, eg. 'tech neck' or if they regularly take part in sports, helping to maintain performance and prevent injury. Parent or guardian must complete consultation form and sign giving consent for treatment if your child is under 16 years old. Parent or guardian MUST be present for the duration of the treatment if your child is under 16 years old.
