Massage

With the use of carrier oils and a few extra pillows, this massage is suitable for anyone who is over 12 weeks pregnant or for anyone who feels uncomfortable lying face down, whether you have recently given birth or due to a medical reason.

Pregnancy Massage

This treatment includes, a consultation about your area of concern then a Postural assessment, to understand your posture and your range of movement, finally the massage itself will contain a mixture of deep tissue techniques and trigger points to release muscular tightness to encourage a better range of movement.

Sports Massage

Pre Event Sports Massage
This Massage is a short, fast pace massage designed to increase warmth and blood flow to the muscles, to increase flexibility and to improve performance. This massage is perfect to have up to 24 hours before an event. For example, before a marathon, a football match, weightlifting competition, any type of sporting event.
• Techniques - Effleurage, petrissage, vibrations, hacking and cupping movements
Post Event Sports Massage
This is a Slow pace massage to help to alleviate any joint stiffness and DOMS (dElayed onset muscle soreness). This massage can also help with flushing out toxins and built up lactic acid , reduce swelling and promote faster healing, promotes relaxation to the muscles and to help clear the mind.
• Techniques - Slow effleurage and petrissage / kneading movements

Pre & Post Sports Event Massage

Pre-blended aromatherapy Massage techniques are used to stimulate and positively uplift or relax  and calm the mind and body. There is a choice of oils and depending which oil we will use during the Massage, will depend on the techniques that will be used.
This is a bespoke Massage and can be adapted in many ways, this will be confirmed in the consultation.

ADAPTATIONS 
Pregnancy Massage - Only available after the 12th week scan. This adaptation will include a pregnancy pillow and the use of Carrier oils instead.

Lymph nodes removal or Life Limiting illnesses such as Cancer - This adaptation will include a different massage technique including Simple Lymphatic Drainage and Swedish movements whilst using Carrier oils only.

Pre-Blended Aromatherapy Massage

This is a hybrid treatment, between Swedish and Sports Massage. By using very little massage oil, the muscles can be hooked or grabbed, thereby stretching and lengthening them. Strokes will be considerably slower and possibly shorter and some areas may be skipped so more time can be spent on specific areas.
