If the traditional massage offers a more intense restorative experience, our signature treatment focuses
more on the sublimities of bodily pleasure. We use imported oils and a softer approach to relieve
soreness and also induce a feeling of dreamy relaxation. This massage is the perfect prescription for
dealing with physical stress and an overworked mind, incorporating a more western massage experience
with the time-honored Thai massage – minus much of the pulling and bending.

Laanna Signature 

The back and neck massage is associated with stress relief, leaving you feeling revitalized for the days
ahead. On top of the emotional benefits, the massage reduces physical tension built up from a stressful
or vigorous lifestyle. Our staff can add as much pressure as you please, so the treatment can focus more
on muscular relief or plain and simple pleasure. Research has also shown that this massage can have
ample benefits to people who suffer from migraines. Moreover, regular sessions can improve the
function of the immune system by increasing the number of number of white blood cells in the body.

Back Neck Massage

The Thai traditional massage goes back thousands of years according to ancient texts, and still today
massage treatment in Thailand pervades all levels of society. This massage combines a series of
balanced pressure movements all over the body to relax muscles and joints. Customers will experience
therapeutic manipulation of body parts, with each move addressing any stiffness or soreness that needs
to be worked out.
The traditional massage uses no oils or creams or any other kind of application, instead focusing more
on curative needs than pleasure and relaxation. Not all traditional Thai massages are the same,
however. At Laanna Spa we embrace creativity while relying on many years of collective experience.

Traditional Thai Massage 

This treatment consists of applying a more intense pressure to certain parts of the body in order to deal
with musculoskeletal issues that may have been caused by a sports injury or just too much strain on the
muscles. Our staff will discuss the problem with the customer and use various techniques to attend to
problems at the lower layers of connective tissue. This is a remedial massage more than it is for pure
relaxation.

Deep tissue massage

One of the most popular massages in Thailand, the traditional foot massage is an age-old tension buster.
Stress will be kneaded out of the feet; circulation will be improved, and the muscles will be stimulated. If
you stand a lot for your job and have foot pain, a foot massage can relieve you of that pain, not to
mention create a sublime state of relaxation.

Foot massage 

This treatment is only available to women 13 to 33 weeks pregnant. Our therapists have been trained to
know how to position someone in a manner that suits their stage of pregnancy, after which they will use
their magic to work out all the aches and pains pregnant women experience. Research has shown
pregnancy massage to be beneficial to the blood flow, as well as reducing stress hormones.

Pregnancy Massage

The facial massage is a unique treatment in that as well as reducing stress, it can rejuvenate the outward
appearance to give the recipient a healthier, younger look. It can also improve blood flow and release
tension in the facial muscles. If you suffer from stress headaches, this treatment is certainly one you
should try.

Facial Massage

A scrub  is a spa treatment which exfoliates the skin on your body leaving it feeling fresh, smooth, moisturised and soft. An abrasive product is rubbed vigorously, and massaged across and into your skin, and is then rinsed away to reveal a moisturised layer of fresh, clean and smooth skin. We use the natural product which is coconut or rice.

Deep tissue

The hot stone massage uses heated stones to apply a warm pressure to the muscles. This is a great way
to heal injured muscles, relieve stress, and improve blood circulation. As a less physical form of Thai
massage, it can also help to reduce anxiety and improve general well-being.

Hot stone massage 

This massage consists of using a herbal compress made from a combination of restorative herbs inside a
heated muslin cloth. The compress will then be applied to various parts of the body, working out knots
and infusing the skin with the selected herbs. Certain herbs have specific healing properties, such as
kaffir lime reduces inflammation and stress. Lemongrass can be used to treat pain. You can ask our staff
which herb combination you think might be best for you.
