An ingrown toenail develops when the sides of the nail grow into the surrounding skin. The nail curls and breaks through the skin, which becomes red, swollen and tender.

These problems can be caused by trauma, tight footwear, excessive flattening of the foot causing the toe to rotate, self-treatment with scissors or congenital problems associated with the flesh on the sides of the toes.

Our therapist will cut the side of the nail and remove the part that is causing infection and discomfort. Once the offending nail has been treated, antiseptic and bandages will be covered until it is completely healed.

During a hardware pedicure, your therapist will disinfect your feet, then apply a special gel (to soften the skin of the feet and cuticles).Your soles are then treated with an electric file after the specialist assesses the condition of your soles and thus selects the right file for best result. Also all of your cuticles are carefully removed. Following the procedure, your feet are hydrated with cream and if you wish - polished with a color or strengthener of your choice and finished with cuticle oil.
