Pre-Advice Recommendations:
- No caffeine or alcohol up to 48 hours before (including energy drinks / pre workout)
- Your lips MUST be kept hydrated and moisturised - exfoliation is recommended. If your lips are cracked, unfortunately we may be unable to go ahead
- No waxing, laser hair removal or electrolysis around the lips up to one week before
- Lip injections or fillers should be performed at least four weeks before your lip blush appointment (or 2 weeks after)

If you suffer with cold sores at present or any time in the past, you must take an anti herpes medication (Zovirax/Acyclovir) before and after your treatment.

A consultation and patch test is required at least 48hrs before all SPMU appointments. 

Please ensure you have carefully read the following, as we unfortunately cannot provide treatment for anyone who fits into the below criteria:

- Pregnant / breastfeeding
- Under 18 years old
- Diabetic
- Keloid scarring in the area
- Any issues with wound healing
- High or low blood pressure
- Currently undergoing Chemotherapy or Radiotherapy (we can treat if 5 weeks post and medical consent has been given)
- Viral infections or any infectious diseases
- Heart problems
- Taking blood thinning or anti inflammatory medication
- Epileptic / Seizures
- Used Accutane (Isotretinoin) in the last 6 months ​
- Have allergies to nickel, iron oxide or any anaesthetics
