Reiki is a Japanese healing technique that uses gentle touch to balance and change the energy in a person's body. The word "reiki" is made up of the Japanese words rei, meaning universal, and ki, which refers to a flow of life force energy.

How it works:
Reiki practitioners place their hands on or near a client's body to help balance their energy fields. The practitioner may hold their hands in place or above the client and then move to a different area of the body. Sound healing is used during these sessions with tuning forks and crystal bowls.
