Amethyst signature massage is similar to the Swedish massage. This type of massage focuses on muscle relaxation, targeting superficial muscles (rather than the connective tissues targeted in deep-tissue massage) and increasing blood circulation. Medium to firm pressure depending on your needs and issues.

Deep tissue massage is slow, very firm pressure that is applied to the body to release muscle tension. The focus is on the deepest layers of muscle tissue, tendons, and fascia. Elbows, forearms, thumbs and knuckles are used to apply the right pressure.
