Integrative Bodywork and massage therapy is a trauma-informed, full-body approach to releasing the structural imbalances, holding patterns, and restrictions that accumulate throughout life. Over time, stress, injury, and habitual movement become embedded in our tissues. Shaping our posture, pain, and vitality. This work addresses those patterns at their root.

Each session is individually tailored, drawing from a wide range of advanced modalities including: Osteo-Neuropathic Massage, Structural Integration, Visceral Manipulation, Abdominal Massage, Craniosacral Therapy, Lymphatic Drainage, Myofascial & Neuromuscular Therapy, Esalen Massage, Cupping, Lomi Lomi, and Somatics.

Helpful for: Chronic pain, back and neck tension, postural issues, sports injuries, mobility challenges, fatigue, stress, and general body maintenance.

For chronic pain or injury, sessions 2–3 weeks apart are recommended, followed by monthly maintenance. Due to high demand, advance booking is strongly advised.

Integrative Bodywork

A targeted, specialist treatment for jaw, face, head, neck, and upper chest tension associated with TMJ dysfunction, bruxism (teeth grinding), chronic headaches, migraines, and sinus pressure. This session works precisely with the muscles, fascia, and nerves that drive jaw pain and tension patterns.

Techniques may include intra-oral (buccal) massage using gloves to access the deeper masseter and pterygoid muscles, combined with myofascial release of the cervical spine, neck, and upper back to address the full chain of tension.

Ideal for: TMJ pain and dysfunction, teeth grinding, jaw clenching, jaw arthritis, tension headaches, migraines, eye strain, sinus congestion, facial pain, and stress-related jaw tightness.

A follow-up session one week later is recommended for lasting results, followed by monthly maintenance.

TMJ, Jaw & Migraine Massage

Somatic Therapy & Nervous System Coaching guides you into a deeper relationship with your body through gentle, trauma-informed care. Drawing on evidence-based modalities; including Somatic Trauma Resolution, Somatic Experiencing, Hakomi, BodyPoem, Somatic Installation, and Dennison Co-regulation. These sessions support lasting nervous system regulation, stress relief, and embodied healing.

Rather than following a fixed protocol, each session follows what is alive in you: a sensation, a story, a pattern, or quiet curiosity. This is slow, relational work that creates sustainable shifts, not quick fixes.
This work is particularly helpful for:

Anxiety, chronic stress, fatigue, depression, grief, burnout, life transitions, medical or birth trauma, sexual trauma, PTSD, psychedelic integration, creative blocks, fertility support, postpartum care, and spiritual integration.

Somatic Therapy & Nervous System Coaching

STREAM (Scar Tissue Remediation Education & Management) is a specialised, evidence-informed bodywork approach designed to restore mobility, reduce pain, and soften adhesions from surgical, birth, or injury-related scarring.

Makia is currently the only Certified STREAM Practitioner in Ireland (STREAM Health Coach, Bodyworker & Pelvic Specialist). Using advanced hands-on techniques including myofascial release, visceral manipulation, structural integration bodywork, pelvic care, nutritional support and home care protocols. These sessions gently encourage tissue hydration, improved circulation, and nervous system regulation.

Conditions supported: C-section scars, abdominal and gynaecological surgery (hysterectomy, appendectomy, hernia repair), endometriosis, pelvic adhesions, gender-affirming surgery, plastic surgery (liposuction, implant/explant, tummy tuck), laparoscopy, and pelvic or abdominal pain of unknown origin.

STREAM Scar Tissue Remediation Therapy

Somatic Sexology offers a trauma-informed, body-centred approach to sexual wellness, intimacy, and embodied self-connection. These sessions explore how stress, life experiences, and relational patterns are stored within the nervous system, and how that shapes pleasure, desire, boundaries, and connection.

Through guided somatic awareness, education, consent-based practices, and nervous system support, clients are empowered to reconnect with sensation, confidence, and authentic self-expression.

Sessions may support:
Low libido, intimacy challenges, pelvic tension, vaginismus, sexual pain, shame and body disconnection, relationship difficulties, desire discrepancy, sexual trauma recovery, and deepening pleasure and relational wellbeing.

This work is gender-inclusive, fully clothed, and carefully tailored to each client's comfort and goals. No sexual services are offered or performed.

Somatic Sexology, Intimacy & Sex Coaching

Pelvic Care is a 90-minute, trauma-informed therapeutic session designed to support pelvic health, nervous system regulation, and embodied reconnection. Combining somatic therapy, hands-on bodywork, and personalised education, this session addresses pain, tension, and holding patterns within the pelvis, abdomen, and surrounding structures.

Treatment is tailored to each client and may include: external pelvic and abdominal bodywork, hip release, breathwork + nervous system support, STREAM scar tissue remediation, and guided somatic awareness practices.

Sessions may support : Pelvic pain, endometriosis, menstrual discomfort, postpartum recovery (including birth trauma), diastasis recti, pelvic floor tension, prolapse support, interstitial cystitis, scar tissue, sexual pain (vaginismus, dyspareunia), chronic pelvic tension, and general pelvic reconnection and wellbeing.

This work is gentle and deeply respectful of your pace and boundaries.
