Before heading to down to the mighty lower north of Rotorua, I made sure to get a fresh cut from John. Siana had the fade so sharp I was checking myself out in every shop window like I was the local attraction. Walked around feeling like a Temu Steven Setu, nodding at strangers and carrying myself like I'd just signed for the Warriors. Chur toks that fade gave me more confidence than my bank account ever has.

Fresh out the chair, the fade is absolutely lethal. Clean taper on the sides, crispy lineup sharper than a new blade, and the top sitting perfect like it was handcrafted by the rugby gods themselves. Hair looking so smooth the aunties gonna say “sheeesh, that boy been blessed.” Every angle is dangerous, cuz. Front profile tidy, side profile elite, and the back? Oi, proper cinema. Big ups to my barber John too uso didn’t just cut hair, he performed a cultural ceremony with them clippers. Bro had the fade transitioning smoother than island harmonies at a fiafia night. Honestly, I’m convinced my barber John deserves a share of my medal from the senior tag nationals, because that haircut was doing half the work out there. The fade was so clean defenders were too busy admiring it to actually grab my tags, and I swear I gained at least 10% more speed just from the aerodynamic effect alone. Every time I stepped on the field, I wasn’t just playing well I was playing fresh. At one point I caught my reflection and nearly missed a pass because I was thinking, “yeah… that’s a medal-winning haircut right there.” John didn’t just line me up, he lined me up for success.
