Endorphin are neurotransmitters that help reduce pain and enhance the feeling of pleasure and well-being when you receive a massage the physical manipulation of the muscles and tissue can activate the nervous system leading to release of these chemicals. These endorphins release is one of the reason people often feel relaxed and happy after a massage.
