A small test spot will be perform on first day of consultation. This will indicate if the patient can tolerate the treatment without developing adverse effects.
Waiting 4/6 weeks between laser hair removal sessions gives time to body hairs that were not in the anagen phase to enter it. Again, since 20% of hair is in the right stage at any point of time, some will leave it while other will enter it as you go for your next session.
Laser hair removal works by targeting the pigment in the follicle to weaken it and eventually stop it from growing. If treatments are done before the 4/6 week period, the hair may not have enough pigment and the laser will not target the follicle. What not todo after the treatment? No makeup & lotion/moisturizer/deodorant for the first 24 hours. Keep the treated area clean & dry, if further redness or irritation persists, skip your makeup & moisturizer, & deodorant (for underarms) until the irritation has subsided.
