The muscles in the area of the trigger points are warmed through massage techniques and then acute pressure is applied with elbows or reinforced thumbs until the knot is released. No Bruising will ever occur with this massage style if the therapist is properly trained.

Dry needling, also known as trigger point needling  involves the use of acupuncture type needles being introduced into trigger points in muscles to stimulate a ‘twitch’ response resulting in ‘release or relaxation’ of the trigger point A trigger point being a hyperirritable, taut band of muscle.  And what do we mean by dry?  Dry needling simply meaning one without medication.
