Consultation 

Anti-wrinkle treatments can produce results from as early as 3-5 days after the procedure, and the maximum effect is usually seen at the two week point. 

At Skinfinity Aesthetics Clinic we want to ensure that you have received the optimum enhancement that can be realistically expected for your individual needs and personal circumstances. 

For this reason, we offer FREE review appointments with our Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner, who will assess your post treatment results, and advise on further treatment if necessary. 

It is important you do not schedule this review before the two week point, as results are likely to alter right up until the 14th day.

Anti- wrinkle two week review 

For cosmetic purposes, Anti-wrinkle treatments (Botulinum toxin injections) are used to relax the muscles that cause unwanted wrinkles and lines.

Facial expressions such as smiling and frowning cause the muscles of the face to compress the skin. The excessive contraction of the major facial muscles can cause the formation of lines, furrows and wrinkles. Anti-Wrinkle injections can lead to a very noticeable and desirable reduction in these lines, wrinkles and furrows making the face appear softer and more youthful.

Specialist Anti-Wrinkle Treatments

Unfortunately, the facial volume that occurs as we age can cause the temple area to look sunken and hollow, resulting in the eyes and surrounding structures looking tired or even slightly “droopy”. 
However, by re-volumising this area via strategic placement of dermal filler, the face is given a subtle yet effective lift that can enhance the appearance of the eye area, restore the brows natural arch and improve the overall balance of the face. 

Temple Filler

This treatment is quick and comfortable with little to no downtime required. 
Dermal filler is placed strategically to reduce the appearance of humps/bumps, straighten the profile, enhance the tip or create a slimmer appearance. 
Results are immediate and last on average 9-18 months. 

Liquid Rhinoplasty

Fillers for the nasolabial folds are a great way to treat lines around the nose and the mouth. Our use of advanced dermal fillers offers instant correction for deep lines. The procedure uses dermal fillers to fill in the crease and plump the skin to give you a more youthful appearance. The effects of the treatment are usually visable immediately and gives you desired results without the cost of surgery.

Nasolabial folds (nose to mouth)

Marionette lines are caused when the skin loses elasticity due to the natural ageing process and the damaging effects of sun exposure. Weight loss can also cause marionette lines, when fat is lost on the face this can cause crease lines from the mouth to the chin.

Dermal fillers are an effective treatment for marionette lines; they can thicken the skin and reduce the appearance of the lines. Fillers not only help to improve these deep wrinkles, but they restore and moisturise skin in the area. They work by providing extra fullness to the area where wrinkles are most prominent.

Marionette (lip to chin lines)

Smoker’s lines are small lines that etch the lips and may extend vertically from the lips. They are often first noticed when lipstick starts to ‘bleed’ out of the vermilion border (the border between the lip and adjacent skin) into the vertical fine lines around the mouth. They are more prominent on the upper lips.

Smoking does not necessarily cause smoker’s lines; physiological ageing in general cause lines, folds, and wrinkles in the lower face area, or anything below the eyes, to form.

As well as natural ageing, the effects of the sun can also develop and increase the lines around the lips. These lines are more likely to form in smokers due to the repeated pursing of the lips to draw from the cigarette. Smoking also breaks down the production of collagen, which increases the appearance of wrinkles and causes the skin to thin.

Tear troughs, dark circles and eyebags are conditions that most people struggle with at some point in their lives. While they may appear to be very similar, they are actually three different conditions. Dark circles are primarily a pigmentation issue that worsens when we are tired/dehydrated. Eye bags are basically fluid retention and cool compresses can help.

Tear troughs, however, are physical hollows under the eyes that cast a shadow that may make you look tired and aged, and are generally harder to cover and reduce than eye bags and dark circles. Tear troughs can be brought on by ageing as the skin in the area becomes thinner and facial fat descends under the eye, casting a shadow across the area. They can also be genetic and appear in young people as well. Dermal fillers are an ideal treatment for tear troughs as they work by adding volume from beneath the skin. This way, they can fill the hollows under the eyes and create a smooth, brightened and more youthful appearance.
