Microneedling with PRP is a cosmetic treatment that stimulates collagen production by rolling fine needles over the skin and applying platelets, which are one of the components of blood. The addition of PRP from the blood may make microneedling more effective. The liquid in blood is plasma, while platelets are solid.

A practitioner will take a blood sample and then use a spinning tool called a centrifuge to separate the PRP from the rest of the blood.

PRP contains proteins, including growth factors and cytokines. These proteins help skin tissue repair itself.

First, a practitioner will use a microneedling tool to prick the skin, making tiny holes in the skin’s surface. They will then apply PRP to these tiny holes to encourage collagen production and cell reproduction.

The addition of PRP to microneedling may speed up the healing process and stimulate skin renewal, potentially producing better results than microneedling alone.

*How often can you do IPL for acne?
However, most patients who use IPL for acne need 3-6 treatments spaced about a month apart. IPL can do wonders for your skin, but it's best when combined with other healthy habits. 

*How long does IPL take to work on acne?
How quickly does the IPL Photofacial show results? The effects of an IPL Photofacial are gradual, so don't expect to see immediate results. You begin to see a change in your face within a week to 10 days and on the other treated areas of your body within 6-8 weeks.

*Does IPL cause purging?
The skin immediately after treatment may appear slightly red though this will subside within a few hours. The treatment will result in the skin purging all of the impurities contained within in 3-4 days.
