SMP (Scalp Micropigmentation)

Saline or  removal is a tattoo removal technique that uses a saline to lighten ink from the skin: 

A technician uses a tattoo machine to put a solution into the skin, tracing the shape of the original tattoo. The saline solution is hypertonic, meaning it draws water and pigment molecules out of the skin through osmosis. Chemical removal uses acid on ink particles to break apart. The  skin scabs over, and the ink is expelled during the healing process. 

Saline or chemical removal is effective for lightening cosmetic tattoos, including microblading, micropigmentation, and scalp pigmentation. It can remove all colors, including white, and is not depth specific. 

The number of sessions needed depends on the client's skin type, the depth of the original pigment, and other factors. It can take anywhere from one to six sessions, but on average it takes 3 to 4 sessions. 

Saline or chemical removal is uncomfortable, but it's not as painful as other tattoo removal methods.
