Masca is named after a region in Tenerife where Cate grew up. One of Cate's earliest memories is of her mother picking her up from preschool and dragging her along to a massage. While her mother fell into deep relaxation, Cate watched, hypnotised by the masseuse's fluid movements, which appeared to be some kind of magical dance. Cate infuses this youthful curiosity and enchantment into her treatments, combining her sensitive instinct for touch with effective facial rejuvenation techniques.

I treated myself to an hour long session and Cate didn’t disappoint. I hadn’t had purely facial massage before but it felt great and my face feels and looks refreshed. Plus a bit of a neck and shoulder massage never goes amiss. I would recommend her and this treatment especially if you hold stress in your jaw/brows like I apparently do. 

I wasn’t sure what to expect with a facial massage but Cate immediately put me at ease, explaining the steps and assessing my needs. She incorporated more neck and shoulders since I have a lot of tension. The head and face massage was so incredible! Who knew it’s as relaxing as a body massage and my skin was left glowing, ready for a special event I had. I’m a convert, thanks and see you soon Cate!

Cate creates a serene enrivoment that’s a treat for the senses: a homemade elixir to hydrate, crystals to ground/balance, cleansing incense before beginning the massage with specific oils for my skin.
I’d never had a face massage before, it was deeply relaxing! Her touch is firm and skilled, she really fixed the knots in my jaw and forehead and I was surprised to see a visible difference afterwards. The metal tools used added another dimension that I found soothing. She let me stay a little over my time to recalibrate before going back out onto into the busy world. I’ll be back, thanks Cate!
