Protective styles are used to promote growth but keeping them in too long may actually cause damage. Styles that are left in too long can cause tension on the scalp and thinning edges, tangled or matted hair, breakage during the undoing process and hair follicles can become blocked from product build-up.

Braiding with extensions can be tight on the scalp. It’s not recommended for sensitive scalps or tender-headed clients. Always let your stylist know if you prefer a looser grip.

This style can last up to 3–4 weeks with Afro textured hair unless it's straightened through heat.

Neatly sectioned braids using extensions to create a clean, stylish, and long-lasting look. This process may take extra time depending on the hair’s condition.

Maintenance Tip:
Use a satin bonnet or scarf to protect the style at night. Spray scalp, use light oil or Miracle Milk every few days for moisture.
