My name is Alyssa, Ive had a passion for beauty (brows specifically!) since I was 17. I am a licensed master aesthetician through the Cosmetology Association of Nova Scotia, graduating from the Academy of Cosmetology in 2012 with honours.

11 years later I am now a 2x permanent makeup artist, eyelash technician and nail technician, and Botched Ink Tattoo removal technician in addition to my Aesthetics diploma.

She takes her time to make sure everything is absolutely perfect (as you would want for a permanent tattoo on your face) and is overall just a pleasure to be around. Can’t recommend her more. It is the removal or lightening of unwanted tattoo’s and permanent makeup use of a specially formulated saline solution by Botched Ink® and a digital tattoo machine. The technician will go over the tattoo in the same method the tattoo was applied however, this time, instead of ink, Botched Ink® saline solution is implanted into the skin.

When Botched Ink® is implanted into skin, the area quickly dries out.  If the skin contains tattoo pigment this will dry out too, lifting and removing the pigment during the skins natural healing process.  Treated skin forms a dried-out scab during healing, and during treatments you’ll see the scab containing some of the tattoo pigment.

Ombré Brows

Inspired by the ombre hair trend, ombre brows have become a huge trend in semi-permanent makeup for eyebrows. Just like the basic powder brow, it’s a procedure that gives you the look of filled in, shaded brows, but with a special twist – the ombre effect.

No strokes are used for this method.

Combo brows

Combo brows are getting more and more popular among people who really like the hair stroke eyebrow look but are not good candidates for Microblading or Nano Strokes on their own. With combo eyebrows, they get hair strokes and some powdery shading which is great for people who have oily skin. The strokes are placed at the bulb and around the perimeter of the brow while the inside of the brow is shaded. 

Combo brows are also a great solution for covering up an old brow tattoo. Microblading or nano are not a choice for covering up old tattoo.

Who is a candidate for Nano?

Nano brows work best on dry to normal skin, but they can work on oily skin- touch ups may be required more frequently on oily skin. 

Nano is a form of semi-permanent tattooing by creating strokes only. The nano strokes are created by opening up the skin and depositing pigment into the dermis. The procedure is performed with an eclectic PMU device similar to a tattoo machine which has a super-thin vibrating needle. The needle pierces the skin and deposits the pigment as it enters the skin.
