Reflexology is a complementary therapy which is carried out traditionally on the feet but is also carried out on the hands. 

Reflexology works on the theory that each part of the feet represent a part of the body.

Reflexology works to heal the ‘whole’ person, improves general wellbeing, relaxes the mind & body to help counteract stress & anxiety. 

Other benefits include improved sleep, release of any blockages, improvement in the flow of energy giving a feeling of being uplifted, helps to eliminate toxins, stimulates the nervous function, helps with the relief of pain from some conditions, helps with the relief of PMS, peri menopause & menopause symptoms and  helps to regulate hormones.

A full consultation is carried out before each treatment to ensure it is suitable for you.

There are some contra indications (meaning that the treatment is unsuitable) or times when advice might be required from a GP before carrying out the treatment to ensure that it is safe.  



Reflexology

Reiki is a form of Japanese energy healing which treats the whole person including the body, emotions, mind and spirit.

Reiki stimulates the natural healing by releasing congestion from the energy centres to enable a good flow of energy in the body.

Reiki is non invasive and is carried out using palm healing or hands on healing through universal energy transferred to the client.

Reiki has many benefits including:

Relief of pain and discomfort.
Can awaken intuition and self awareness.
Reduces stress, anxiety and depression.
Helps the body with the natural healing process.
Increases blood flow and circulation.
Release toxins and smooth digestion.
Helps to balance the 7 chakras in the body.
Clears blockages and suppressed emotions
Helps with relaxation and quality of sleep.

Reiki 

Indian head massage is carried out seated on a chair with or without oils and covers a massage of the upper back, neck, shoulders, arms (including gently mobilising the arms and shoulders), the head and face. 

*Please note this treatment is unsuitable if you have suffered a recent head or neck injury, have severe bruising or infection of the skin*
Finally, the uppermost chakras - the throat, third eye and crown are balanced with some reiki.

The treatment improves blood flow to the head and neck, increased distribution of oxygen and nutrients, nourishes the tissues and stimulates and improves the lymphatic drainage to the head and neck.

Other benefits include relief of congestion, eye strain, headaches, jaw ache and sinusitis. Relief of muscle tension and pain from muscle spasms.

Indian Head massage 

Gel Polish Pedicure (no polish removal) with Reflexology

Removal, of gel polish applied by myself without a further re-application.   No cuticle work or nail tidy is included with this service. 

Please note unfortunately I do not remove gel polish applied by other therapists/nail techs.

Gel Polish removal

Please note I only remove polish applied by myself and this is an additional  charge of £5. 

Cuticle work is carried out, filing and shaping of the nails,  hard skin removal, exfoliation, application of a foot mask (this helps to moisturise and revitalise tired feet leaving them feeling soft and smooth).  A foot and lower leg massage is carried out and a polish of your choice is applied.    

If you can please wear loose clothing/trousers that comfortably roll up to enjoy the foot/leg massage.





Gel Pedicure with Foot Mask & warm booties

Please note I only remove polish applied by myself and this is an additional  charge of £5. 

Cuticle work is carried out, filing and shaping of the nails,  hard skin removal, exfoliation, application of Paraffin wax (this helps to moisturise and revitalise tired feet leaving them feeling soft, smooth and amazing!  As a form of heat therapy, the wax also provides relief to sore joints, muscles and helps with conditions such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and  fibromyalgia).  A foot and lower leg massage is carried out and a polish of your choice is applied.   

If you can please wear loose clothing/trousers that comfortably roll up to enjoy the foot/leg massage.

Cold Stone Reflexology 

I am really pleased to add this lovely,  soothing treatment to my treatment menu. 

Please wear clothing that will comfortably roll up to enjoy the calf massage with the hot stones. 

Benefits of hot stone Reflexology include:

- the warmth from the stones relaxes the body at its deepest level 
- creates harmony and balance 
- calms the senses, relaxes muscle tension and promotes a mediative state 
- soothing, nurturing, grounding, blissful and comforting:
- releases tension in the connective tissues 
-increases circulation 
-increases elimination of waste products - and many more!! 

Please note the treatment is unsuitable  for some medical conditions.  There are several conditions (not all listed), such as unmedicated high blood pressure, Raynards, osteoarthritis (if inflamed), heart conditions and varicose veins.  Please check with me if you have a condition that is listed/not listed as cold stones can be used as an alternative. 

Hot Stone Reflexology 

Massage of lower legs and feet to help stimulate certain areas by releasing blocked energy within the many Sen lines within the body (Thai based meridians).  

The treatment helps to:

Balance and restore a healthy flow of energy throughout the body.
Can improve circulation in the feet and legs.
Stimulates lymphatic drainage.
Helps to remove toxins from the body.
Can reduce stiffness and improve flexibility.
Helps to reduce stress.
Helps with insomnia.

Differenced between Thai Foot Massage and Reflexology

Thai foot massage involves more massage/pressure to open and encourage the flow of the Sen energy channels and also covers the Reflexology points by massaging the feet and ankles.  

Reflexology works on the principle that each part of the foot represents a part of the body.  Gentle pressure is applied to areas on the feet where there may be a build up of crystals to release them.

Thai Foot Massage 

Hopi ear candling is a non invasive complementary therapy which can help conditions associated with the ears, nose and throat.  

A hollow, cone shaped tube (or candle) which is made of cotton and soaked in beeswax honey, is gently placed into the ear canal to stimulate the ear and help with the removal of excess wax and impurities.  The candles help to loosen ear wax through the air vibrating through the candles towards the ear and gently massaging the ear drum.

The treatment can help with the following:

Symptoms of hay fever, sinusitis, rhinitis, colds, flu, headaches and migranes.

Improv nasal breathing and sense of smell.

Equalising pressure in the head and ears.

Can also alleviate pressure and pain experienced when flying or scuba diving. 

Improving blood flow, the lymphatic system, balancing the mind, body and spirit.

* This treatment is not suitable if you currently have an ear infection, perforated eardrum, hearing aids, have gromments or early stages of pregnancy
