We offer a de shedding shampoo and using the high velocity dryer, blasting the coat to remove all the dead undercoat. 
Bathing and brushing the coat to give a lovely shiny coat.. this helps to manage excess hair loss around the home. It needs to be done on a regular schedule for you to notice a decrease in the hair. 
Ideally booking every 8 weeks .

Bishon frise have extremely curly coats and the maintainace required is one if the most difficult.. the breed are strictly no more than 6 weeks based on the coat getting compacted really quickly. 
The groom for this breed is a skill and can take from 1 hour depending on breed behaviour to 2 hours if the dog is not happy with then drying part.. the prep alone for the breed takes at least 1 hour the coat has to be blown straight for the the groomer to get a stylish finish. Please note we do offer a non breed standard cut please ask for details

We offer puppy grooms for under 6 months old.. 
we will bath and dry nails and pads…
Trim around eye but no cutting of the fur on the body or legs.
This will help the to get use to the grooming process in our salon ready for a full groom at 6 months.. 


Puppy groom 

We will offer you in house training working alongside our experienced and qualified staff. At college you have to do so much theory before you get involved in the practical. Well at Top Dog Groomers we offer a bespoke training course so you learn from day one. 
Spread over 30 days within the Eastleigh salon to work around your current job. 
You don’t need any experience just be willing to learn. This course is not free it is a paid course as your gaining skills and training from experienced staff. If you’re looking to start a new career why not message us and find out how you can get started. We offer finance for the courses.. spaces are limited. Next I take is for September 2025 to secure your space we ask for a £300 deposit the rest is spread over 6 months. You can’t start until it’s paid. 


Dog grooming training in house 

Handstripping is a skilled job and requires extra time to complete. Please note if the coat is clipped previously you will not be able to have this process done.
We advise your dog is not bathed before this process and the build up on the coat helps us with the grip whilst removing the coat that requires stripping. Ideal for wire coated breeds and silky coated breeds. 
We also offer simulated hand-stripping please make sure you let the groomer know your preference. 
We use banded combs , chalks for gripping the fur, coat king and many other tools to help with this groom. If you don’t want us to use any product please let us know.
