What is sports massage? In my practice, it's akin to an MOT for your body — a combined treatment that includes deep tissue manual manipulation along with additional modalities to enhance my regular massage techniques, such as dry cupping, Graston tools (IASTM), massage gun and assisted stretching.

This treatment is specifically tailored for individuals with physically demanding lifestyles and/or hobbies.

Sports Massage 

Deep Tissue Massage is one of the more popular treatments in massage therapy. Working through layers of tissue from superficial to deep, a deep tissue massage involves using slow, focused pressure targeting the inner layers of muscles and connective tissues and aims to see a physical improvement within the duration of the session. 

This treatment is great for relieving general aches and pains, promoting increase in range of movement, functional ability and many more. I will use a combination of slow strokes and deep pressure by using my fingers, knuckles, forearms and elbows on tight places either following or going across the fibres of the muscles.

Depending on the session length, it can be a full-body massage or we can focus specifically on your area(s) of complaint so you can get a better result. 

Every appointment is tailored to the individual and the treatment is ideal for clients of all backgrounds, this will help keep you functioning at your best. 

Deep Tissue Massage 

Take the weight off your shoulders with this blissful back, neck and shoulder treatment designed to ease away everyday stresses, target areas of tension and let you walk away feeling back to "Me". This massage will loosen the muscles in your back and shoulders allowing your body to unwind and promote deep relaxation and improved sleep. 
The techniques increase blood circulation, allowing more oxygenated blood to nourish the muscle tissues, relieving aches and releasing any tightness and tension.

Back and Shoulders

This is one of the most commonly offered massage techniques. It is sometimes called a classic massage. This massage treatment will encourage you to leave your daily stresses and strains behind and take some time to focus on your own self-care. Gentle and intentional with long, flowing strokes Swedish massage is all about soothing, nourishing and encouraging your body's nervous system to lower its sensitivity. Calm, slow and gliding massage strokes will stimulate the release of serotonin and endorphins (which are feel good, anti-stress hormones) that contribute to optimum mental functioning and for decreasing anxiety and depression. Applied with light to medium pressure a relaxation massage is all about giving yourself the time and space to de-stress and aims to help relieve your muscles of fatigue, soreness and stiffness and improve your flexibility.
