In 2017, Pure Beauty by Nicola opened its doors starting off as a busy beauty salon now specialising in only Phibrows semi permanent make up or also known as microblading. Microblading resembles the brow hair creating fuller more defined brows.

Microblading Brow Consultation 

All products that are used during an eyebrow service will be patch tested. Leave on for up to 1 hour and remove with water. If any allergic reaction occurs just let me know and we can look at other options.

HD Brow Patch test 

A tiny amount of product used in this treatment will be applied behind the ears. Wait up to 48 hours to confirm no reaction has occurred. This treatment cannot be done on pregnant ladies or under 18s.

HD Brow is a unique seven-step process bespoke to you. It involves a combination of techniques, including mapping the brow to pre draw desired shape, tinting using a hybrid tint, waxing and threading.

HD Brow Treatment

HD Brow Sculpt also known as lamination is a new concept and a very popular trend in brow grooming. The process involves straightening eyebrow hairs using a chemical solution, so that all the brow hair stands in the desired direction, usually lifting upwards. The result is a bushier, more defined yet natural-looking brow which lasts for 6 weeks requiring little to no maintenance once the treatment is done.

The treatment takes 1 hour 20 miutes. Your eyebrows look instantly thicker. This treatment is teamed with tint to give the brow its fullest affect and a HD Brows treatment, to tidy and shape the brow.

No water can be allowed near the brows for 24 hours after the treatment. Lamination brows will last 6 to 8 weeks and can be topped up with a tint in-between treatments.

HD Brow Sculpt (Lamination) 

A lash lift is not the same as getting lash extensions. Instead it's a treatment that essentially perms your lashes, making them curl up. Lashes can be long or short, but must be at least a 4mm to get the service. It will lift and darken your natural lashes and create an effortless look for the client who wants a natural ‘woke up like this’ appearance. Includes lash tint.

Complimentary Top Up (no later than 3 months after previous session)

I always begin with applying a scratch test on the wrist, this will determine if there is any allergic reaction almost immediately. 

Followed by a consultation to discuss what your expectations of the treatment are and how I can achieve it. When we are both happy to go ahead, we begin your session of semi permanent brows.

Brows are numbed using a medical grade anaesthetic to ensure comfort during the procedure. I then map measure and pre-draw your new brows. It is all about creating the best shape for each face – a totally bespoke approach for each client. Then I very finely implant featherweight strokes with a medical grade pigment on the epidermis layer for the skin, creating fine, realistic and natural hair strokes. In other words, creating  beautiful brows!

You will be back to see me in 6-8 weeks for your second session called the top up. This is also known as the perfecting session. 


1st session Semi  Permanent Brows

During this session we review the healed brows, I will implant a second round of pigment throughout the brows because we can lose up to 40% of pigment during the healing stage. This stage is also called the perfecting stage. 


2nd Session of Semi Permanent Brows (4-6 weeks after initial session)

PhiBrows usually need a Top Up anywhere from 1 to 5 years. This is due to the skin losing its pigment from many factors such as sun exposure, metabolism, age, the lifestyle we live ie. if you are very active. Also, our skincare products we use all affect how are skin holds pigment over time. 

After 3+ years, your Semi Permanent brows will fade significantly. This is one of the many benefits of semi permanent brows because things change as time passes, as does our face shape, skin, hair growth but also brow trends change! And so for this reason a top up is no longer suitable, at this stage it will be a new session for a new bespoke brow.
