As we age, our skin matures and begins to show signs of ageing. Unfortunately, the nasolabial folds, also known as nose-to-mouth lines, are one of the first areas to show signs of ageing. However, nasolabial fold filler can dramatically treat this concern!

The nasolabial folds are recognised as the lines either side of your nose and mouth that sit vertically on the face. They are prominent when we smile, and this natural regular movement encourages a line to appear over time. The line becomes more prominent with age due to the reduction of collagen and elasticity. This causes the skin in this area to weaken and even ‘sag’, making us look older.

Nasolabial fold filler is a popular treatment and can dramatically improve appearance. Please note: swelling can cause treated areas to look uneven or lumpy at first. Recovery time can vary between patients but we say to allow at least two weeks for your body to recover properly after any injectable treatment, then you’ll see the final result!

A unique technique and needle length and width is used, alongside strips strategically placed to help in avoiding migration and supporting the healing process.

It is highly recommended to purchase numbing cream such as ‘elma’ (around £5-£7) from a pharmacy and to apply this 30-60 minutes before treatment.

Strip Lips 1.1ml Without Dissolving.

Strip Lips are suitable for those with migration above the lip who do not wish to fully dissolve their lips and have to wait 1.5-2 weeks to refill. It cannot be used on persons with a large volume of filler in the lips or problematic lips e.g., lips that have been previously injected incorrectly and have a very distorted shape. Ideal lips for this treatment are lips with approximately 0.5-1ml in. 

The procedure consists of a patch test to test whether allergic to the dissolving agent. Where there is no reaction, a partial dissolve will take place in migrating areas. After, 1ml of filler will be used in a strategic manner to add shape to the lips. Sterile strips will be added as these have been proven to increase the lip structure, thus helping to prevent migration, and support in the healing process. 

The strips should be worn for a minimum of 24 hours after the procedure; ideally 72 hours. Facial movement should be kept to a minimum.

To fill a chin dimple, elongate the face, or make the face proportionate side on.
