Consultation and care is given to tailor your massage to work with your individual needs. Michelle from Massage with M has lived experience either personally or working closely with chronic pain, migraines, arthritis, fibromyalgia, injuries, disabilities, Autism/ADHD, mental health and anxiety. This equips Michelle with perspective, understanding and empathy that further enhances the service provided.

Relaxation Massage

A therapeutic remedial massage intent is to help reduce or eliminate pain, and improve movement/normal function of muscles and joints. 

Massages start off with gentle rocking and swedish style massage to warm the muscles and relax the body, before incorporating a range of techniques such as deep tissue, trigger points, myofascial release, shiatsu, movement techniques and stretches, holistic pulsing to help alleviate pain, tension, help reduce or release knots, and help the body to let go and access its natural healing powerhouse.

Therapeutic Remedial Massage

Great care is taken with the children's massage to ensure the child feels safe and is comfortable with me. It's ok if they are not, we can end the session without any further payment required. 

The parent is able to sit on a chair next to the table if the child wishes. 

Although 40mins is booked out, first session is more about the child being comfortable with me, introducing massage touch/strokes slowly, gradual, with good communication seeking permission as we go. The child can be clothed and we begin on their hand and arm, or another area if they prefer. 

For fully paid sessions - if your child is having trouble with sleeping or anxiety, together we can build a rollon oil for them to take away that they can easily roll on themselves, giving them a sense of empowerment. This is complimentary first time, any others will be an additional charge.

This session is a koha exchange prior agreed. 

Holistic Pulsing is a body-mind centred approach which uses the power of gentle rhythmic touch and movement. During a session, the practitioner (pulser) applies easy rocking, stretching and opening movements to the clothed client (pulsee). The rocking induces a wave-like motion throughout the whole body, reminiscent of being rocked in the womb or floating on water" (Holistic Pulsing Guild)

Holistic Pulsing case study session 

Currently doing professional development training in Holistic Pulsing. I have just passed Module 1 Relaxation Pulsing, and will continue the $50 rate until further notice. This can have a mix of pulsing and pulsing massage technique, and can be an add on to a massage booking.
