Energy Body

In Gua Sha, a technician scrapes your skin with short or long strokes to stimulate microcirculation of the soft tissue, which increases blood flow. They make these strokes with a smooth-edged instrument known as a Gua Sha tool. The therapist applies massage oil to your skin, and then uses the tool to repeatedly scrape your skin in a downward motion.
Gua Sha is generally performed on a person’s back, buttocks, neck, arms, and legs. A gentle version of it is even used on the face as a facial technique. Your therapist may apply mild pressure, and gradually increase intensity to determine how much force you can handle.

Scraping (Gua Sha)

Cupping is an ancient healing therapy that is used to help ease pain. Cupping is a form of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Middle Eastern medicine.
A therapist places cups on your back, stomach, arms, legs or other parts of your body. Inside the cup a vacuum or suction force pulls the skin upwards.
Cupping is used to treat pain, ease scar tissue deep within muscles and connective tissues, and reduce swelling and muscle knots. Also, like many complimentary treatments, cupping aids to minimise circulating toxins by drawing them into the skin surface, where they are more easily removed. According to TCM, cupping improves the flow of Qi (your vital life force) and can help treat colds, bronchitis and even pneumonia.
