If you suffer with Milia, you should consider your dietary intake and the cosmetic products use on your skin. However, Milia can be treated very quickly and easily using electrolysis. This is performed by inserting a tiny electrolysis needle (around the size of eyelash) and applying a Short-Wave Diathermy which breaks down the hard fatty tissue and allows it to disperse into the body.  A ‘popping’ sensation is often experienced as the needle pierces the keratinised center of the Milia, but this is a safe relatively comfortable, reliable noninvasive treatment.
Please be aware, 48 hours prior to treatment do not use retinol, exfoliating or acid products. This includes BHAs, AHAs and PHAs.

This treatment works by directing a low Electrolysis current onto the surface of the skin where the Red Veins are present. This effect will cauterise the blood vessel and effectively help to remove it as it is then reabsorbed by the body. 
Generally, 3 to 4 treatments are required to help with improving the thread veins, either on the body or the face leaving a 3 week gap between treatments.

The treatment can take around half an hour, depending on the size of the area to be treated. Your nurse practitioner will simply tap a slender needle along the affected area, causing a slight stinging sensation which is often described as being no more than a little uncomfortable.

Please ensure you have booked a consultation prior to the treatment to discuss the area in question, as not all thread veins are suitable for this technique. It will also be a good opportunity to discuss any questions you may have, the aftercare advise and the cost of treatment.

Electrolysis- Facial thread Veins- single treatment

Microsclerotherapy is the technique used to treat spider veins or thread veins of the legs. As thread veins and spider veins are minute, a tiny needle is used to inject small amounts of sclerosant, which is the liquid that destroys the veins. It is suitable for use on thread veins on the legs or body.
The veins are so small that a very powerful magnifying glass with a strong circular light is used in order to get the very best view of the target thread veins or spider veins.

As soon as the sclerosant is inside the vein, the vein needs to be compressed and this is done by taping a swab to the skin.

To achieve optimum results, the treated thread and spider veins need to be continuously compressed for 21 days and nights. This is the time needed for the body to turn the dying vein into scar tissue and is best achieved by wearing compression stockings. Early removal may cause staining.

One of the causes is a hyperactive muscle which elevates the upper lip. Occasionally, the gummy smile is also aggravated by a thin upper lip that further contributes to the problem by exposing the upper gum even more. 

Luckily the gummy smile can be simply and effectively corrected with Botulinum toxin (commonly known as Botox) injections to reduce the activity of the muscle that elevates the upper lip.

The Nasolabial fold is the deep crease running from either side of the nose down towards the corners of the mouth. As we age we can noticed the appearance of these lines more due to aging process. Fat is lost from the cheeks, reducing skin volume and making this fold appear deeper.

On some occasions it would be beneficial to consider cheek augmentation together with the volumisation of the nasolabial fold to help achieve expected results. 

Marionette lines (corner of the mouth) are long vertical wrinkles that traverse from the corners of the lips to the chin. These creases could give a grim or sad look to the face.
