First time at Ark Massage therapy. From the outset Andrew was polite and courteous. Discussion around what back issues I was having; explanation of what the session would involve with deep tissue massage and mobility work. During the session, excellent mindfulness shown in checking that I was comfortable and content with deep tissue pressures. Excellent ambiance and venue was suitable. Follow up care was given re stretches to carry out for future mobility work. Would recommend fully.

Great couples massage. Worked to meet my needs rather than following a fixed structure. Room had a great aura. Fully recommend. 

Working through layers of tissue from superficial to deep, a deep tissue massage involves using slow, focussed pressure targeting the inner layers of muscles and connective tissues. 

Particularly beneficial to those who exercise a lot, work in intensely physical jobs or suffer from chronic pain, deep tissue massage involves the use of forearms, fists and occasionally elbows and may result in some post massage muscle fatigue and soreness.

swedish massage involves a variety of techniques that aim to relieve muscle tension and promote relaxation. both stimulating and relaxing, a swedish massage includes a combination of percussive and long, flowing strokes. applied pressure will vary depending on client but swedish massage is mostly gentler than a deep tissue massage, but will be adapted to meet each clients needs.

Gentle and intentional with long, flowing strokes, relaxation massage is all about soothing, nourishing and encouraging your body's nervous system to lower its sensitivity. applied with light to medium pressure a relaxation massage is all about giving yourself the time and space to de-stress and aims to lower blood pressure as well as warming and relaxing tense, contracted muscles.

A light pressured massage treatment adapted to your own personal requirements, whether you're having active cancer treatment or living with the side effects of a cancer diagnosis.
This massage treatment is designed to calm, relax and relieve pain or discomfort related to cancer treatment and its side effects.

Vocal Massage

this appointment will be focussed on relieving tension over the whole upper body, head, neck, larynx, and jaw. This can include work around ribs, abdomen, back, neck, & shoulders as well as focussed attention to areas related to voice production.
