The masseter muscle is the largest and strongest muscle in the face, if this is overactive from teeth grinding it can lead to this muscle becoming bulkier over time. This can contribute to the appearance of a wider face, a square jaw, headaches and jaw pain. When Botox is injected into this muscle it can help prevent teeth grinding, also known as ‘bruxism’ and also help to slim the jawline and lower part of the face.
