I had the honor of having my first Skin & Glow Starter Facial done by Alvin of Skin and Scissors. It was such a wonderful experience as a newbie to facials. Alvin really took the time to explain the process to where I felt as ease the entire time (and yes I ask ALOT of questions normally but didn’t need to with him). My skin feels so hydrated and with a glow I’ve never had before. Thank you Alvin for helping give my skin a glow just in time for my show this weekend. As an added bonus, Alvin always keeps his snacks and drinks stock for his guests. Such a nice touch for my drive back home to SD.

Rock and Alvin took such good care of my hair with the scalp massage and root touch up combo, I loved every service I got and it’s incredible that you can get so many services here and they are all exceptional my facial was amazing along with my brow tint and shape and eye lash and tint!! They are so nice and really take the time get understand your skin and hair and typically do not enjoy beauty services this much- fantastic job and not to mention they fit me in on a holiday weekend and understand customer service 100% thank you both so much!!

Alvin is great! He did such a great job with asking what I use on my skin currently and customized the facial for my current skin needs. He also gave me a lot of tips and helpful information on what to do for my skin as well. My face feels so nice after!

Highly recommend! Dr. Xu is very professional, honest, and incredibly skilled. He took the time to understand my goals, gave thoughtful recommendations, and never pushed unnecessary treatments. The injections were surprisingly comfortable thanks to his gentle technique. The clinic is clean, private, and welcoming. Overall, a wonderful experience from start to finish.

Beyond what i imagined it to be! I've been to so many salons and had so many treatments done to my scalp and hair and I FINALLY got the treatment that i was looking for and Alvin and Rock had amazing personalities with great service that really spoil you;) Highly recommend for not just scalp treatment but overall hair styling as well!

Dr. Xu is extremely professional and nice. Unlike some doctors who pressure you to buy a lot of products, he only designs treatments that are more suitable for you.

I had a great experience with Alvin, I went in for a hair cut and he took such great care of me and made me feel very comfortable. He took care of my whole head lol not just my haircut, walked me through my scalp care, hair care and all the products necessary for both. Amazing scalp treatment! My hair had never felt so light and bouncy and my dry scalp isn’t flaky or itchy at all. And hands down the best service I’ve ever experienced at any salon. Rock and Alvin really take care of you!!

Incredibly nice, good listener both to my rambling for extended periods as well as to what I asked for. Explained pricing clearly and was very reasonable with it considering the time and products spent! Wonderful experience overall!! Would recommend! Also very queer friendly!

Alvin, not only is a great hairstylist, but he is extremely friendly, welcoming and overall goes in details about why he suggest something or why this would work for you. I have curly hair. But after today, I now know the extent of how curly it is and it was definitely much curlier than what I’ve grew up knowing. I will be coming back and a complete fan of his work.
