We love taking our son to Alicia, she is brilliant with him and super patient. She's great with scissors too, not just clippers, so fantastic for cutting and styling curly hair like his. Really lovely relaxed atmosphere in the shop and she is a talented hairdresser. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend Handsome Jacks, absolutely excellent 👌

Another great cut at the Hoi Polloi. I was initially very apprehensive, as my usual barber Jack was on holiday. Jack has such an ease with the tools of his craft it truly is a joy to behold, but Scotty really took care of me and provided a first rate service. Scotty has blossomed into a fine barber I must say. Overall, It was a big change for me, but there is a life lesson in there somewhere I am sure.

Courtney is always great with Hugo. We started off with scissors only a few months back, as he used to get so distressed with the clippers. Today, he let Courtney use the clippers for the first time and I’m so pleased. Thank you Courtney, for being so lovely and patient with Hugo x

Had a men’s cut from Tony who did an amazing job, and took the time to really make sure I was happy with my hair. Would definitely recommend over a standard barber shop.

Jenny was amazing with our little one! We were anxious since he doesn’t like clippers but she was so patient and accommodating. This was his best haircut yet! Will definitely be back

Alicia is the only barber in the whole of the North East that my son trusts to cut his hair! She really listens and understands what he wants and he always leaves really happy and looking great!

I had my first haircut with Alicia yesterday, and I couldn’t be happier! The shape and tidy-up = looks absolutely perfect. Fantastic to have such an excellent barber right here at the coast. The atmosphere was top-notch, relaxed, and welcoming. My hair looks exceptional this is my go-to spot from now on. Highly recommend.

Fantastic barber, my 4 year old who doesn’t sit still in most circumstances sits so well for Alicia. Really takes the time to cut his hair with scissors and we love his haircuts!

The hairdresser was friendly and very relaxed with my son who was getting his first professional haircut and can be quite nervous around new things or loud spaces. He loved sitting on a motorcycle barber chair and the relaxed environment kept him calm and happy. When we left he was already asking if we can go back so he could sit in the police car.

Alicia is so patient with our 4 year old and does a briliant job cutting his hair every time. He has curly hair so I prefer him to have a mainly scissor cut and we always come out satisfied because Alicia is class with both scissors and clippers (unlike some barbers). Would thoroughly recommend Handsome Jacks for adults, teens and kids, Alicia is fantastic 😁

My son hates getting his hair cut and hasn’t had it done for months, I didn’t have high hopes of him allowing the hair cut at fidgets. Our barber today was Laura who was amazing and got the hair cut done with no tears !!! She was fantastic and will be returning to see her
