I’ve been getting my haircut at The Hoi Polloi for a few years now, mainly by Jack P, who I have followed to the Ouseburn shop (what a cool spot). I can honestly say you’re in the best possible hands with this lad - he is extremely attentive, funny and a brilliant barber. He will look after you and make you feel welcome, I get a 5 star experience every time Jack cuts my hair & always leave with a smile on my face. Keep it up 👍💯

Always a great experience when getting my hair cut with Steve. Easy going and really approachable with any ideas you’ve got. Hoi Polloi Ouseburn is a great location, everyone is really friendly and you’re always welcomed with a drink of your choice. Highly recommend you make this your new spot!

Another fantastic experience at The Hoi Polloi and my first visit to their Ouseburn site. I've had my hair cut 3 times now by Sam and I just love how he is as a person. He's kind and easy to talk to. He remembers things that we've chatted about before even though it's been six months since my last cut. He really put my mind at ease after I had some concerns that I think I'm losing my hair and he is honestly the only person I trust with my hair at this point 🤣 Thanks again Sam!

It was our first visit. My mum is a cancer patient and her hair had just grown back weak. Nicola was amazing with my mum, she listened carefully about what was important to my mum in terms of style and gave us some good advice about hair care. Nicola also took extra care during the styling as well as making her feel really at ease since it’s been a long time since her last visit to a hairdressers so she was naturally very nervous. Just want to thank Taylor & Nicola for taking such good care of mum and giving my mum her confidence back. We will certainly be visiting again soon.

It was skin fades and lemonades; barber chairs and loving stares; shaving foam and talks of Rome; texturising and romanticising. We talked, he washed, we laughed, he cut, I booked again for 14 days time and then we went our separate ways knowing that in two weeks we’d do it all over again. But next time back at Whitley Bay…

Very nice customer and blow dry . Nice smelling product. Taylor also showed me a better technique for curls with the straightening irons. Hair had a lively finish. Was happy to leave a tip.

Housekeeping was alright. Prep prior to trim was great. Haircut was great considering I got a lot of compliments. Would have liked taper on my temple straight rather than diagonal, forgot to mention but my reference photo had my intended hairstyle. Spend time informing me how to style my hair for optimal styling.

Best barber around, been going to David for 6+ years now following him from shop to shop he is that good. Had multiple styles of hair over the years and never had a problem styling any of them. Defo recommend.

Lovely welcome and she listened to my request, offered me a coffee which was very much appreciated on such a miserable wet day! Lovely hair cut and blow dry, also loved the ease of booking online.
