it was a tremendous experience. the first hair cut of my 2 year old baby son. Not only was Elsa excellent in her craft, but the warmth of the welcome and experience was outstanding. Such a gem of a place in rickmansworth.. We loved it and so did my son. It is decorated for kids and the cars and toys were a great touch. kids even got lollies and stickers at the end. a wonderful magical little place. all the best to elsa and her team. keep it up

We had such a wonderful experience at this Kiddies Island Hair. My child is very anxious and scared when it comes to haircuts, but the staff here handled everything with incredible patience and kindness. They took their time, spoke gently, and never rushed, which made such a difference in helping my child feel safe and comfortable. What really stood out was how calm and understanding they were throughout the entire process. They truly know how to work with children who are nervous, turning what could be a stressful situation into a positive one.

As ever, Elsa and Vera were super! We visited for our 9yo and Autistic 6yo, and both boys came away looking school ready! Our 6yo was initially very reluctant to have his hair cut but with patience and gentle persuasion Vera managed to get him to sit and play Play Station 5, and he tolerated a scissor cut. I will be back mid-week with our 18mo baby!

It was a great experience as always. My kids love Elsa! Having haircut is a positive experience for them. They trust Elsa and they always feel proud of their haircuts. I cannot imagine going anywhere else with my kids. Once, we did a kids and Mummy pampering and I had my haircut with Vera whilst my kids were with Elsa. Vera was fantastic! My hair looked amazing and Vera was so kind. I am planning the next family haircut for a next session. Elsa and Vera are a fantastic duo and my kids would not consider any other place for their haircut!

As ever just the most welcoming and gentle experience at Kiddies Island. Despite the busy Easter weekend, Vera and Elsa went above and beyond to help our three boys get their hair cuts with no fuss today! This included our 1.5yr old baby and our Autistic 5yr old who was delighted to play on the Play Station whilst he got his cut. This was his first cut in over two years. Vera and Elsa had both welcomed him gently whenever his brothers would get a haircut and today he was willing to get it done! Very emotional. So thankful for their experience and quick hands, turning a chore into a fun outing.

Great! My girls (7 and 4) had the BEST time sitting in the haircut cars, watching netflix and having their nails painted! The butterfly clip, ring and balloon were the icing on the cake! Vera was lovely! We’ll be back!

These ladies are just incredible and so in tune with their adult, as well as child, patrons. I had to drop in last-minute today as my child had cut herself an impromptu fringe that needed to be rescued. They had her in the chair within 15 minutes. They even fit in her little sister for a braid and her nails painted so that she didn’t feel left out. This place is a gem.

My daughter absolutely loved her experience at Kiddies Island hair salon. The salon is amazing and has such a wonderful atmosphere- Elsa and Vera have thought of everything to make children of all ages feel relaxed and comfortable. My daughter had a fantastic wash, cut and blow dry by Vera and all of the extra touches such as having her nails painted and choosing a clip and ring made it extra special. She really felt like a princess. Her hair looks amazing and has been cut perfectly. Elsa and Vera are so lovely and welcoming we will definitely be returning.

We’d been recommended Vera’s hair salon in Rickmansworth by a staff member who works at the respite centre our son goes to. We weren’t disappointed! It was top notch- nothing like we imagined. Everything from warm welcome to friendly nature of hairdressers, keeping our autistic son calm & relaxed atmosphere. There were toys, video games, large TV screens, an area for manicures to make kids feel comfortable & safe. Our son normally struggles with haircut but Vera was a professional & highly experienced dealing with send kids. He was offered treats to take back home afterwards. Good service!

What an amazing salon, such an excellent addition to the Rickmansworth High Street & Elsa was just brilliant & attentive & communicative with my 20 month old son who has never been able to sit still in a barbers. Well worth the cost & what a thoroughly gorgeous business with lots of beautiful little toys and a space at the back which is perfect if you wanted an adult hair cut. They have thought of everything. Really appreciate Elsa’s time and patience and care for my son.

Great experience as always. Our son has made huge progress in enjoying getting his hair cut. This is testament to Vera’s patience, caring manner and professionalism. The best children’s hairdresser in the area! If you have a child who is anxious about going to the hairdresser, then go to Kiddies Island Hair Salon. Our son was terrified of getting his haircut after bad experiences at different salons. After a few haircuts with Vera, it’s a completely different experience and he walks out with a huge smile on his face!

Elsa was amazing with our little boy - she was quick and very patient! There’s plenty of toys to keep kids distracted and my little boy loved sitting in the Lamborghini car. Elsa gave Harlan his first certificate along with a lollipop and some toys after the haircut. My little one didn’t want to leave! Thank you for making his first haircut so enjoyable!
