I have thick hair. It's beautiful but it's so thick that I want to cut it short. To blow dry it takes 30 min. It's tough to find a hair stylist that knows how to cut thick hair. I have found my hair stylist for life w/Maddie from Sounthern Hair Salon. My mom/grandma always had the same stylist for yrs bc finding one is few & far between. I met her after a botched job which she miraculously fixed. She does my regrowth/color to where it looks natural. That's hard to do especially,w/gray hair. Everyone at this salon is super nice. Not to mention it's esthetic makes me feel relaxed&comfortable.

I'm so happy I found this Salon. I had been wanting extensions for a while and I found Courtney. She did an amazing job color matching, installing, blending and making me feel good with my hair again. Both her and Katrina are amazing stylist and I cannot reccomend them enough.

Katrina is amazing! I often come in with only a vague idea of what I want, and she somehow translates those thoughts into a beautiful style and color every time. She takes the time to listen, asks the right questions, and communicates throughout the process so you end up with exactly the look you’re hoping for. I also love the salon atmosphere. Everyone is friendly, welcoming, and makes you feel comfortable from the moment you walk in.

I had my first professional haircut since 2020 with Maddie, and she exceeded every expectation. As someone who used to go to a high-end salon, I can honestly say her technique and skill are just as good—if not better. She listened carefully, asked thoughtful questions, and gave me a style that’s manageable and looks amazing. I was especially impressed that it still looked great the next morning with very little effort. New owner of long hair, my first time to a salon. It was very relaxed and friendly with Gabby, and I never would've guessed she was still training on men's styles. I've gotten compliments all week from both the coworkers I interact with daily and ones I've never held a full conversation with, my friends have praised the work she did, my fiancé declared it the best haircut I've ever had, and I'm more confident in my ability to properly care for my hair after talking through my concerns about growing it out during the entire process
