Chris is just an amazingly talented, professional and attentive hairstylist. He has great taste and is always chill and relaxed. He consistently does a fantastic job of creating stylish, modern looks that suit the person really well (both me and my partner have experience with him), listens to your wishes but also makes the cut highly wearable - no need to worry about maintaining the shape with a thousand products. His new studio has everything you need to feel relaxed and comfortable during the session, it’s cute and cozy, and super close to Hackney Wick station. Highly highly recommend!

She put me at ease straight away and took the time to really understand what I wanted. She paid close attention to my curl pattern and tailored the entire appointment to suit me, asking how I usually style my curls and choosing the perfect products and techniques to bring out the very best in them. I just had a wash, trim and blow dry, but it was perfect! Overall it's a 3.5 but I didn't have the option to do half points so I rounded up. For reference, I have biracial hair with a mixture of 3b to 4a curls. I really loved the cut that my stylist (Demi) did. I want my hair to grow so she had to cut more than I was hoping for but she did a great job and I was pleasantly surprised. What I didn't love was the styling at the end - she kept brushing my hair which disrupted my natural curl pattern and left my hair really tight and frizzy. I was able to easily fix this when I got home by rewetting it and restyling so overall not a big deal.

Aila treated and cut my hair with the greatest care taking time to understand my needs and my hair and I absolutely love the result. The salon is a little oasis of calm in the bussle of hackney and have incredible treatments. I had a scalp treatment and hair protein treatment which left my hair looking brighter and feeling strong and smooth (not to mention it smells amazing!). Highly recommend Aila and Glasshouse!

I have been getting my hair cut and styled by Daisy for years as she has been the only hairdresser to work well with my curly hair ☺️ The salon is decorated beautifully, with fun music and friendly vibes. It’s always such a treat whenever I go - Jo makes an excellent coffee (or two!), the products smell amazing and my hair is so much healthier now. Today, Daisy and Sandy went that extra mile to make sure the final colour and cut are perfect as I am getting married in a few months. I am so happy with the colour, cut and blow dry - I wouldn’t trust anyone else to touch my hair! Thank you all!
