Nee. Draadsnijden werkt alleen op vlakke gebieden, wat bikinilijnen en knieën regelt.

Hoe vaak moet ik draadsnijden?

Het hangt af van de groeisnelheid van je haar: de meeste mensen laten hun benen elke 4 weken doen en hun wenkbrauwen elke 2-4 weken.

Wat kan ik verwachten tijdens een draadbehandeling?

Tijdens een draadbehandeling zal je therapeut gedraaide draden gebruiken om enkele haren van de wortel te plukken. Zodra het inrijgen is voltooid, kan je therapeut een verkoelende gel (zoals aloë vera) op het behandelde gebied aanbrengen om je huid te kalmeren.

Wat is threading en hoe werkt het?

Threading is een ontharingstechniek die meestal wordt gebruikt om ongewenst wenkbrauwhaar te verwijderen. Het is vrij van chemicaliën en je therapeut gebruikt gedraaide draden om enkele haren van de wortel te plukken.

Kan ik thuis mijn eigen wenkbrauwen rijgen?

Dat kan, maar het vergt oefening om het goed te doen, het verhoogt je risico op bijwerkingen en je zou kunnen zien dat je je eigen huid in de draad vangt.

Is draadsnijden pijnlijk?

Ja. Het is snel en, in tegenstelling tot waxen, trekt het niet aan je huid; het draadsnijden trekt het haar echter uit de wortel, dus het zal pijn doen. Wees echter gerust: de pijn is snel en draaglijk.

Is draadsnijden beter dan waxen?

Het is niet aan ons om te zeggen, maar veel therapeuten geven er de voorkeur aan, omdat het hen in staat stelt om precies te zijn zonder de huid te beschadigen. Het betekent ook dat er geen gevaar is voor het dubbel dompelen van wax tussen klanten, en het kan kortere haren verwijderen waar wax niet volledig grip op heeft, wat betekent dat je wenkbrauwen langer mooi gevormd blijven.
