Wat zijn gel extensions?

Gelverlengingen zijn nagelverlengingen die worden gemaakt wanneer de harde of halfharde gel wordt gebeeldhouwd, uitgehard en vervolgens gevormd om het uiterlijk van je nagel te verlengen.

Wat is het verschil tussen gel extensions en acrylverf?

Gelnagels worden als gezonder beschouwd dan acrylextensies, maar acryl is beter als je superlange nagels wilt. Gellak wordt geleverd in een pot en ziet eruit als honing; acryl wordt geleverd als een poeder. Gelnagel extensions uitharden onder een UV-lamp en geven een natuurlijkere, glanzender afwerking dan acryl. Acryl begint te genezen zodra ze aan lucht worden blootgesteld. Sommige technici ‘bouwen’ gelnagelverlengingen op door verlengingsvormen (stickers) en gel op je natuurlijke nagels aan te brengen; anderen bevestigen een voorgevormde nagelpunt op je bestaande nagel met gel. Acrylverlengingen kunnen ook bovenop vormen worden opgebouwd, of op een voorgevormde plastic nagelpunt die vervolgens op je nagel wordt bevestigd.

Hoe lang gaan nagelverlengingen mee?

Gelnagelverlengingen gaan 2-3 weken mee en moeten vervolgens worden verwijderd. Acryl nagelverlengingen kunnen 6-8 weken meegaan, maar hebben na 2-3 weken vullingen nodig om hergroei te verbergen.

Verpesten nagelverlengingen je nagels?

Van nagelverlengingen wordt gedacht dat ze je natuurlijke nagels na verloop van tijd verzwakken, hoewel er meer onderzoek nodig is om de echte effecten aan te tonen.

Wat voor soort nagelverlengingen zijn de beste?

Het is aan persoonlijke voorkeur. Acryl nagelverlengingen worden als de beste optie beschouwd als je voor extreme nagellengte wilt gaan. Gels zien er natuurlijker uit en worden als een gezonder alternatief voor acrylextensies beschouwd, omdat de betrokken chemicaliën niet zo hard zijn.
