Wat is het verschil tussen gel- en schellaknagels?

Gel- en schellaknagels genezen beide onder UV-licht, maar hun samenstelling is anders. Gel nagellak is een lak gemaakt van acryl monomeren en oligomeren; schellak nagellak is deels gel, deels gewone nagellak, en is een gepatenteerd merk door Creative Nail Design (CND). Beide geven een hoge glans en langdurige finish.

Wat is het verschil tussen gel- en acrylnagels?

Gelnagels hebben de neiging om een natuurlijkere en glanzender afwerking te geven dan acrylnagels; ze worden uitgehard onder een UV-lamp en gaan ongeveer 2 weken mee. Acrylnagels zijn sterker dan gels en beginnen te genezen zodra ze aan lucht worden blootgesteld. Ze gaan over het algemeen 6-8 weken mee, maar hebben na 2 weken vullingen nodig om hergroei te verbergen. Beide kunnen worden gebruikt om nagels te verlengen en beide kunnen je natuurlijke nagels beschadigen.

Hoe vaak moet ik mijn gelnagels opnieuw laten doen?

Eens in de 2 weken. Gelnagels uitharden in UV-licht; dit betekent dat ze blijven uitharden in natuurlijk zonlicht. Hoe langer je je nagellak aanhoudt, hoe langer het uithardt en hoe moeilijker het te verwijderen is. Om het risico op het strippen en beschadigen van je nagels te verminderen, is het raadzaam om elke 2 weken bij een ervaren nagelstylist te boeken om je gelnagellak te verwijderen en opnieuw te doen.
