Wat is een Braziliaanse wax?

Een Brazilian wax is een ontharingsmethode die harde of strip wax gebruikt om haar van de bikinilijn en de achterkant te verwijderen. Je blijft achter met een kleine ‘landingsstrook’ haar bovenop het schaambeen die rechthoekig, ovaal of driehoekig van vorm zal zijn.

Wax kan geen haar opnemen als het te kort is, dus wacht tot het haar in je bikinilijn ten minste 0,6 cm lang is voordat je je afspraak boekt. Vanwege de gevoeligheid van de huid moet je ook voorkomen dat je binnen drie dagen na je menstruatie een Braziliaanse wax plant.

Hoe vaak moet ik een Braziliaanse wax krijgen?

Om de juiste hoeveelheid haargroei tussen waxen mogelijk te maken, moet je eens in de 3 tot 4 weken een Brazilian wax boeken. Wachten op een goede hergroei is belangrijk, omdat het ervoor zorgt dat al het haar wordt verwijderd en er geen achterblijvers achterblijven.

Hoe bereid ik me voor op een Braziliaanse wax?

Zorg ervoor dat je haar minstens een halve centimeter lang is voor je afspraak, anders zal het harsen niet effectief zijn. Het is raadzaam om vóór je behandeling geen hydraterende oliën te gebruiken en raadt je aan om in de 3 dagen voorafgaand aan je afspraak niets te doen dat je huid kan irriteren, zoals zwemmen in met chloor behandeld water, dat de huid kan uitdrogen.
