Absolutely nothing wrong with this treatment but given 4 stars as I thought the Elemis Ocean body wrap I had last month was better. The products smelt nicer and my face felt lovely for 3 days afterwards whereas I couldn’t notice any difference with this one.

I was lucky enough to have the spa extreme ritual day, this was the best massage and facial I have ever had. The young lady who have me this experience was fantastic. The pool, and other amenities were great, the salt room especially. My Spar package also included a light lunch which I had a beautiful Yorkshire ham salad, and would highly recommend. You can even stay in your bathrobe to go and have lunch in the conservatory. I will definitely be returning.

The staff were friendly and professional and the full body deep tissue massage was fantastic. I enjoyed my treatment which is why I haven’t rated lower but there were a couple of things that could have made it an even better experience; telephone payment required in advance - it would have been better for payment to be taken via the app as it was difficult to get through on the phone. Also the massage I had booked had been changed in error, something I had spotted but was unable to get through on the phone which unfortunately meant I could not have the hot stone massage as planned.

Amazing! My husband had a deep tissue full body massage which he said was just what he needed. I had the facial & neck, back & shoulder massage it was out of this world! Definitely recommend . The young lady who did the treatments was lovely, very friendly & explained everything throughly . Thank you we’ll return next year again for our wedding anniversary x

This is one of my favourite places to go in York to relax and unwind. Lovely place in fantastic grounds and very attentive staff. Highly recommended.

I visited the spa on Thursday 13th Bovember after a very stressful & busy day I intended arriving early for a good swim & relax before my treatment, however I arrived 1/2 hour before my treatment no time to swim so just sat & relaxed on the comfy sofa’s until my treatment. As always my Deep Body Massage was fabulous as always by Katy x I left leaving relaxed de-stressed & the stresses of the day disappeared x

Katy was professional, friendly & applied just the right pressure with my full body Swedish massage

We enjoyed some time in the pool and facilities, but found it a bit too hot to fully relax, instead taking advantage of the September sunshine in the beer garden of the Fat Abbot! HOWEVER, we returned later for our scheduled treatments and were both given excellent care and attention. I enjoyed a Relax and Renew massage/facial with Lucy, and my OH had a Full Body Deep Tissue massage, which he reported as being thorough and beneficial. Staff at the Cloisters Spa were friendly, approachable and helpful. Hopefully we may return in the future, and definitely recommend a visit. Thank you.

Total relaxation! A full body Swedish massage over 1 hour. Not without a few painful moments (much needed for those tight spots) but skilfully delivered by Tatyana with care and precision.

Had a fabulous full body massage, staff are really friendly and helpful, in a group of 5 friends, all had treatments. Had a wonderful relaxing day, used the gym and all the spa facilities
