Wat is acupressuur en hoe werkt het?

Acupressuur is gebaseerd op de overtuiging dat in de traditionele Chinese geneeskunde onze gezondheid wordt beheerst door de energie (qi) die door bepaalde kanalen (meridianen) in ons lichaam stroomt. Hoe lang duurt een acupressuur en wat kan ik verwachten tijdens de sessie?

45-90 minuten. Je moet aan je acupressuurbeoefenaar uitleggen wat je wilt laten behandelen en, afhankelijk van de acupunten waartoe ze toegang moeten hebben, wordt je gevraagd om op een massagetafel te gaan zitten of liggen. Zijn er mogelijke bijwerkingen of risico's verbonden aan acupressuur?
